Christmas travel destinations have surprisingly become more popular. If are considering getting away from sunny South Florida this holiday season, you must check out the beautiful destinations that Travel and Leisure Magazine has put together.
Our Favorite Travel Destinations
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming – Great family activities include Christmas tree lighting, Christmas caroling, skiing with Santa, and ice skating. If you plan to extend your vacation through New Year’s, don’t miss out on the Torchlight Parades and fireworks! There are great places to stay from luxurious lodges to ski-in/ski-out lodges. Lastly, don’t forget to check out the Town Square iconic elk antler arches illuminated for the holidays!
- New York City – I don’t think we need to say anything more here. There’s nothing like Christmas in New York City! The great attractions include, the tree at Rockefeller Center, ice skating in Central Park, the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes and plenty of Holiday Light tours to take throughout the city.
- Beaver Creek, Colorado – This picturesque ski village has great family activities including Christmas tree lighting, a chocolate chip cookie competition, Thursday-Night Lights ski downs with light-up batons and fireworks and a Winter Circus that includes aerialists, contortionists, jugglers, break dancers, fire dancers and more!
- Washington, D.C. – There is just something about Washington D.C. at anytime of year. Seeing the National Christmas Tree, exploring George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate by candlelight, or Zoolights at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo to see the zoo transformed into a winter wonderland might be on the top of our list!
